Rental Terms - Alexandrian Pyramid Auto

DRIVER POLICY

All drivers must meet APA Rentals eligibility requirements and present a valid photo driver’s licence. All drivers must be listed and approved on the rental agreement prior to vehicle release.

A maximum of 2 authorized drivers. is permitted per rental. No unlisted drivers are allowed to operate the vehicle.

Driver Fees

  • Second Driver: Free

  • Additional Approved Driver: $10/day

FUEL

Option #1 – Fuel Service Option (You Fill the Tank)Vehicle is rented with a full tank. At return, make sure fuel is at the same level you started with.Option #2: Fuel Service Option (We Fill the Tank)Vehicle is rented with a full tank. We will refuel the vehicle based on the kilometers driven or level of the tank. A refueling service fee of $2.950 per liter will apply.

DEPOSIT RULES

Refundable security deposit required per vehicle category:

  • Compact: $400 CAD

  • Standard Sedan: $500 CAD

  • Standard SUV: $600 CAD

Deposits are required at pickup and refunded within 24–72 hours after return, subject to inspection approval.

HOLD TIME

Vehicles are held for 1-hour after the reserved arrival time. In the event of any delays you may call or email us to advise of any changes in your pick up time. After the 1 hour window you will be considered a no-show and we may or may not be able to honor your reservation, depending on availability.

AGE

Minimum age to rent is 21 years old with a valid Class 5 driver’s licence (5F or 5I only).

  • 21–22: Compact vehicles only

  • 23–24: Compact + Standard Sedan (subject to approval)

  • 25+: All vehicle categories

GEOGRAPHIC

Vehicles are permitted for use within Canada only, unless otherwise authorized in writing by APA Rentals.

MILEAGE

  • Compact: 100 km/day included

  • Standard Sedan: 120 km/day included

  • Standard SUV: 150 km/day included

Excess mileage: $0.40 – $0.50 per km

OVERSTAY

Late returns will be charged $25 per hour after a 1-hour grace period.

Unauthorized extension may result in full daily charges.

DEMAGE FEES

Cleaning, smoking, or pet violations: $100 – $500 minimum

Interior Cleaning

  • Minor cleaning: $50 – $100

  • Heavy cleaning: $150 – $300

Damage Fees

  • Lost or damaged key: $250 – $600+

  • Additional damages will be assessed based on severity and repair cost

TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS AND FEES

Renter is responsible for all traffic, parking, and photo enforcement violations during the rental period.

Administrative fees may apply per violation.

PAYMENT

The following methods of payment are accepted for full payment at return of rental: cash, Debit, credit and E-Transfer

EARLY RETURN

All drivers must hold a valid Class 5 driver’s licence (5F or 5I only) for the entire rental period.

All renters are subject to MPI driver verification and approval screening.
